Kurseong- Kurseong is a sub-division of Darjeeling district. In 1835 it was handed over to the British by the King of Sikkim. It was a small village then. However, it gained importance when the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (DHR) Toy Train service was extended to Kurseong in August 1880.

Kurseong is the perfect hill station to enjoy Darjeeling and surrounding area and yet avoid the chill, Kurseong means ‘The place of white orchids’. So as expected, white orchids grow in abundance in this area. The area is also full of beautiful tea gardens, forests and year-round vegetation on the hill slopes

Darjeeling –  Must you be lured by the dazzling snow peaks of Kanchenjunga overlooking the hill town? And the beautiful tea gardens on the slopes of rolling hills, the orchids, pines & rhododendrons, the cute Himalayan toy train whistling its way through the mountains? And you want to combine all that with great sightseeing tours, food, shopping and other exciting activities. Right?

Yes, it’s all possible in Darjeeling, a gem of a place known for its youthful vibe combined with modern as well as colonial charm
Kalimpong – Kalimpong is a land of untold stories, with mild colonial charm and modern Nepali people it is the only city in this region which has been able to keep itself safe from over-commercialization. Kalimpong was a part of the Silk route and was able to attract many Englishman and Scottish missionaries to settle such as Dr. Gram Homes and British. Rev. W. Macfarlane. This ecological hotspot, one of only three among the Ecoregions of India has a rich variety of Flora and Fauna.

Gangtok  – the Capital of Sikkim, emerges through the clouds in the shadow of the mighty Kanchenjunga or Kangchendzonga. The mighty snow-capped Himalaya tower over this charming Capital City. The bazars of this Himalayan town offer the tourists an opportunity to mingle with smiling hill folk and Lamas with their play wheels. Gangtok and its surroundings are famous for exotic and colorful flowers particularly Rhododendron Orchids and Blue Poppies. Colorful festivals draw visitors, particularly the Tsechu dance held at the Rumtek Monastery and the Kagyat dance performed by Lamas and Buddhist Monks on different occasions.
